FAUN–as seen at exit/in

got yet another live show gig recently. these are old pals of mine. i have been promising them i would attend one of their shows for over a year now and hadn’t done it. of course, it takes the lure of my camera to get me to one. but better late than never i suppose, and now they have the benefit of the photos.

Faun, a native nashville band, are 4 guys (2 of them brothers) who are no strangers to playing live shows around town. i wasn’t sure what to expect from them musically, but the fame of their talent had reached my ears on more than one occassion. i wasn’t dissapointed. unlike the house show i mentioned in an earlier blog about “the spats,” these guys played one of the larger underground venues in town. they had a good turn out, but even the really famous bands sometimes can’t pack the place out. even though a decent sized crowd has the potential to look sparse in such a big place, Faun rocked the casbah and filled the room with high-spirited energy. their ever-growing fan base was right up front rocking their faces off to the smooth tunes. if you haven’t yet, check these guys out, it’s worth it.
(i should do a music editorial column for ‘the scene’ or ‘the rage’ or something….)
