kelley pickler was the host of the evening and emcee’d the doggie fashion show. the photo on the left here shows kelley with a iraq war veteran and his dog that served along side him.

so many celebrities turned up to support the humane association and to help adoptable dogs strut their stuff on the runway. it was just about the cutest thing i’ve ever seen, everyone had a blast, several dogs got adopted and lots of money was raised through donations, silent and live auctions, and ticket sales. i’ve never been in a room with over 100 dogs before and, i have to say….i kind of loved it!

if you’re thinking about adopting a pet, check out the human association. and, as always, have your pets spayed or neutered!

if this isn’t the most precious face you’ve ever seen then i don’t know what is. this pure adorableness of this first photo could win me awards. those eyes!! lyla is growing so fast. this is our 3rd shoot together and she gets more beautiful every time i see her. i’ll let the photos speak for themselves….

even grandma came out for the shoot (and was unbelievably skilled at getting lyla to laugh and smile…i’m considering hiring her as a full time get-the-kids-to-have-fun expert).

this last shot makes me feel like i’m outside in some warm, exotic location…maybe the florida keys or costa rica. i’m so thankful for a beautiful and versatile place like opryland hotel to go and shoot when winter rears it’s ugly head.

brandi was one of the most stunning brides and had such a sweet, happy glow on her face the entire day. she was a bridesmaid in a wedding i shot earlier this year in gulf shores, alabama so it was super cool to hang with her and some of the same folks from the gulf shores wedding again.

ellie and josh are having a fairly short engagement (reason number uno why i knew these were folks after my own heart…john and i had a 2.5 month engagement). their wedding is mid january and so we needed to squeeze some photos in pronto. they suggested Robert’s Western World for one of the locations (reason number dos why i knew these were folks after my own heart). heeeeckkkk yes, was my reply.

how in the world do i continue to have perfect weather at every shoot? this is another question i ask myself frequently. the answer is…..i don’t know, but i’m knocking on all kinds of wood to keep it that way.
