when i got into photography, my hope was that i would be able to take my skill and make some sort of a difference in someone’s life who was less fortunate than me. for the first time, i have that opportunity. i’ve been invited to go as a documentary photographer on a week-long trip to moldova with an organization based out of nashville called “sweet sleep.”
they provide beds for orphans who have awful sleeping conditions. in this particular case, an all boys special needs orphanage in Orhei, Moldova. some of these boys that we will be visiting are so severely handicapped, they literally spend all of their lives in bed–or rather on soiled and torn mattresses that aren’t even a fraction of the size we are used to.
bnlearlefreaking awesome hannah! Can’t wait to see your work when you get back…
