when i sat down with nick and sarah in a starbucks in greenville, sc a few months ago to discuss the possibility of me shooting their wedding i was excited. a fun couple that i could really get along with, a cool town like greenville, a really sweet venue….and then they told me their idea for an engagement shoot and i almost peed myself like a dog that just got told he’s getting a treat AND he gets to go for a ride in the car to the dog park! of course, i kept calm, cool, and collected like any good professional. but inside i was screaming, “pick me! pick me! pick meee!”
nick and sarah had seen some photos of a couple who did an engagement shoot using the powdered colors from the hindu holi festival of colors (which you MUST google if you’ve never heard of it. looks like an absolutely blast) and they loved the idea. they told me that’s what they wanted, they booked me, and i had been eagerly awaiting the day when we actually got to shoot. the day came, it was incredibly fun, and now i get to blog it.

most fun shoot i think i’ve ever done. it was really, really hard to not dig in and play in the colors myself! while the wedding will not involve the powder colors, i still absolutely can’t wait until next september. sarah and nick, you guys are super fun. i had such a blast — enjoy the photos!
