music blog #2. “you’re doing it peter!” (subtle movie quote only my sister would know…)
got out and about and shot some photos with the dashing, the talented, “the spats.” these crazy rockabilly/punk/twist-and-shouters made their recent live debut in none other than their own living room. (apparently, house shows are becoming the thing to do here in nashville, and i have to say, i kinda like it.) it was a 3-part session i had with the spats: some warm up photos at the end of practice, some “posed” group shots in the back yard, back alley, and neighborhood laundromat, and then the aforementioned house show. and if you ask me, playing an intimate show in a packed out living room is far more thrilling than playing to the same number of people spread out across an oversized venue. why wouldn’t you do it this way?
it was a fun show. but my favorite part was watching one of my favorite people ever successfully rocking out and having the time of his life.

funksnanners…thank you so much for the kind words. and all of us loved the photos. we were all in agreement when we said we couldn’t have picked a better photographer to get these shots for us. so i, well we, can’t say thank you enough.
as a side note, i agree with your first blog disclaimer…caps is so overrated.
