mandy + ian — surprise wedding!
mandy and ian decided to take the stress-free route to getting married — by going to the courthouse! (p.s. after all the weddings i have seen and been involved with, i’m beginning to think this really might be the way to go!) in lieu of a formal wedding, they announced their marriage via the courthouse and then invited their closest family and friends to their house in atlanta for a celebration dinner on saturday night. what the guests didn’t know was that mandy and ian were planning a surprise ceremony in order to share the experience of getting married with all those who are closest to them. everyone was shocked!
what an intimate and organic ceremony. here are some of my favorite shots.
the guest book was personalized with each person’s polaroid. mandy and ian’s on the left, ian’s two sons, morton and tom on the right.

here they are making the announcement that the real reason everyone was invited over was to witness their wedding ceremony :)
