so i entered a contest….

for my final project while in documentary photography school i was sent to bulgaria on assignment to photograph the roma — or gypsy — people. my job was to find a story there, “a day in the life of” type thing, and to show that story through photographs. what i ended up finding was way better than i could have imagined — a gypsy wedding! mind you this is a 4 day event and these people know how to party like it’s 1999. i got there just in time to experience a week’s worth of the event from start to finish.
