sara + mark + a touch of the irish

this is the first entirely indoor wedding i’ve ever shot (no outdoor photos whatsoever!!) and i couldn’t be happier with the results. nashville’s downtown presbyterian church is absolutely unbelievable, ever nook and cranny is a photo. it’s the photographer’s disney land! sara and mark met and currently live in ireland (where mark is from). so you can imagine how eclectic the wedding was, not to mention some of the best music i’ve ever heard at both the ceremony and reception!

oh, no big deal. just this awesome old movie projector hanging out at the church.

sara and mark’s first trip together was to egypt so they decided on this fabulous pyramid shaped groom’s cake. amazing!!!

these cakes blow my mind! i briefly met the mastermind behind these sweet delights. her name is meri wheeler and apparently she’s just getting started out, though you would never know it with the amazing expertise of these two cakes. all you future brides out there — book her before she blows up and perhaps get a great deal :) mwheelercakes@aol.com

hooray!!!! i was seriously like a giddy school girl shooting this wedding. the couple was awesome, the family was great, the church was gorgeous, and ever detail had such a personal “sara and mark” flare. what more can a girl ask for? (i only wish i could be with them in ireland for their irish blessing ceremony…how amazing would that be?)
