a maternity session…of sorts….
wow!! so…uh….went on our annual vacation last weekend with some friends of ours. we were doing an abbreviated version this year for several reasons. one of those reasons being that one of the participants, cristi, was 7.5 months pregnant. we planned on the first week of august to give plenty of room before the due date which was september 15th. as you can probably surmise by this point, baby samuel had other plans for his arrival. cristi’s water broke unexpectedly at about 11 pm on saturday night, the 31st and samuel augustine was born at 3:30 the next afternoon!! so instead of the maternity session we were planning on doing we got the real deal baby instead. what a crazy past few days it has been, let me tell you….here are some of the photos i snagged from the ordeal :)

the proud papa with his perfect new little boy. how sweet are they?!? this is my first chance to shoot the baby of a couple who’s wedding i also shot. so exciting! samuel is so amazing. congratulations justin and cristi!! he’s a beautiful boy. it’s certain nobody will EVER forget this year’s vacation :) cheers!
