mindy + matt – the wedding!

to quote ol’ blue eyes himself….”my kind of town, chicago is…”

introducing the ever-so-lovely wedding of mindy and matt, who’s engagement session i shot a year and a half ago (geez, has it really been that long?!) in chi-town. much to my utter excitement they liked the photos enough to ask me back to shoot the wedding which took place last weekend at the south shore cultural center, consequently where the Obama’s had their wedding reception. SOOOOO gorgeous!

i LOVE shooting in new places and chicago never gets old. every time i go there i love that city more….le sigh.

woohoo! mindy is an etsy girl so lots of her accessories — from her jewelry to the penguin cake topper — were all found online. and since she was planning her chicago wedding from san diego i can’t imagine how much the online wedding community helped make things easier for her. aaaand since she met matt online — match.com! — i think it’s totally appropriate that the internet play an integral part of her wedding planning! in fact, the internet has been so much a part of mindy and matt’s lives together her dad wrote a song especially about it and sang it for them at the reception:

thanks mindy and matt for having john and i spend this amazing day with you! we had been looking forward to it for a long time and what a treat it was!
