going to Moldova!!
when i got into photography, my hope was that i would be able to take my skill and make some sort of a difference in someone’s life who was less fortunate than me. for the first time, i have that opportunity. i’ve been invited to go as a documentary photographer on a week-long trip to moldova with an organization based out of nashville called “sweet sleep.” they provide beds for orphans who have awful sleeping conditions. in this particular case, an all boys special needs orphanage in Orhei, Moldova. some of these boys that we will be visiting are so severely handicapped, they literally spend all of their lives in…

the spats!
music blog #2. “you’re doing it peter!” (subtle movie quote only my sister would know…) got out and about and shot some photos with the dashing, the talented, “the spats.” these crazy rockabilly/punk/twist-and-shouters made their recent live debut in none other than their own living room. (apparently, house shows are becoming the thing to do here in nashville, and i have to say, i kinda like it.) it was a 3-part session i had with the spats: some warm up photos at the end of practice, some “posed” group shots in the back yard, back alley, and neighborhood laundromat, and then the aforementioned house show. and if you ask me,…
