candie, josh, and i had prepared for what we thought would be a chilly november engagement. as it turns out…i think it ended up being like 70 something degrees. it was a gorgeous fall day. josh used to live in the apartment above my husband’s years ago before we were married and that’s how we got to know candie and josh. they are getting hitched next year in st. louis but wanted to do a shoot in nashville. this pedestrian bridge in belle meade is where they got engaged back in may so, as per candie’s suggestion, we thought that would be a good place to start taking photos. their awesome…

amy and nathan’s wedding in somerset, kentucky was my very last wedding for 2012 and they truly sent me off on a good note. there’s nothing quite like rolling hills of the southern countryside in october. amy’s parent’s house nestled way up on top of a wooded hill made an unbelievably picturesque setting for a ceremony. the modern barn at the bottom of the hill was the locale of the reception. hay bales, pumpkins, gourds, lots and lots of goodies from etsy, hand painted signs and other details gave this chilly day a personal touch of warmth. this wedding is a great example of the benefit of attention to tiny…

for starters, cedarwood is probably my all time favorite venue in the nashville area for a wedding. it kinda has it all. this was my 2nd time shooting there and i love it even more than the first time which was nearly 3 years ago — way too long! and more important than the venue is the fact that kristen is one of my favorite people ever. i mean…she was a bridesmaid in my wedding if that tells you anything about what i think of this gal. she found such an unbelievably beautiful match for herself in her new husband kent. need i mention that i was over the moon happy to…
