one year conviction free!!
last week marked one year exactly since i got arrested for taking these (in my opinion, spectacular) photos of this burning building between 5th and 6th ave. i mean…sure i probably shouldn’t have been that close. but the documentary photographer in me just couldn’t look away. kind of like a moth drawn to a porch light. very, very fortunately for me, i knew a guy and he got my case dismissed (although i still had to go in for mugshots and finger prints, but, knowing i wasn’t in any serious trouble, found that more entertaining than anything).…..but even if he hadn’t bailed me out, it would have been worth it.…

tres and olivia
i mentioned in an earlier blog about having my first out of state wedding in georiga a few weeks ago, thanks to tres and olivia. i shot their engagement photos earlier this year and we had so much fun hanging out, so i was stoked to be able to shoot the wedding as well.it just so happens that the wedding was happening the same weekend as hurricane faye was hitting the coasts of florida and georgia! miraculously enough, we had a rather gorgeous (but windy) day. it started to drizzle just as we were wrapping up shooting some fun photos on the UofG campus. so all in all, i would…

molly and noah
(noah giving the awkward-preteen-don’t-want-mom-to-hug-me-stance) i met molly a few years ago through some mutual friends. she is now working for ywam, the non profit organization i worked with for 5 years.she’s in the process of raising money for a music and worship ministry she and a few others are about to start and wanted some photographs done with her son, noah. (yes, molly climbed that tree in a skirt like a champion) it was a wee hot that day but ultimately you never can go wrong with centennial park! hannahelaine
