nashville styled engagement shoot
several months ago i decided i wanted to do another styled engagement shoot but this time using a real couple instead of models. when i ran the idea past mary love of rosemary and finch floral designs and sarah of sweet as honey studios (formerly with love paper goods) they were immediately on board and we set out to run a contest to find our couple. a few scheduling and location booking snafus later we were able to pull it together and had a beautiful time doing photos in a gorgeous east nashville home near shelby park. mary love worked magic with her flowers as per usual and sarah crafted a few really cute…

kathryn + matt — the wedding
kathryn and matt’s wedding: take two! this was maybe one of the most special weddings i’ve ever had the honor of photographing. one, because kathryn and i have been friends for a long time, and two because this wedding was supposed to happen in october and a very-near-tragic car wreck the night before the wedding put several of her family member’s lives in danger. you can read the incredible story in more detail on their christmas photos blog but suffice to say that, by the grace of God, everyone is alive and well. kathryn and matt got married in a small ceremony at the hospital after the wreck and decided to push back…
