this is a particularly special wedding for john and me as the groom is john’s cousin! i think this was my very first family wedding on john’s side so it’s the first chance a lot of that side of my family witness me at work. no pressure! it was actually a really cool way to be able to spend the day with cousins and aunts and uncles and everybody. we really had a great time! the wedding was meant to be outside under a tree at lindsey’s family’s farm but i kid you not when i say it rained the ENTIRE day. never a consecutive 3 minutes break from the drizzle. yuck!…

summer and josh are back on the blog! you may recognize them from earlier this year when i did newborn photos for their sweet little girl, everleigh. this time, they’re back because they tied the knot in a very intimate service on the walking bridge last weekend with just a few family and friends there to help celebrate. people always ask me why october is such a popular month for weddings — it’s because just about every single day is absolutely gorgeous and this particular evening was no different. it was a very sweet ceremony, very intimate and filled with their personalities. then the party moved over to drifters in east…

gloria + taylor — the wedding
y’all, i don’t even know where to start with this one. gloria and taylor’s wedding at the bridge building in downtown nashville could not have been more perfect. i mean, it started storming like crazy during the reception which caused a little bit of a dance floor relocation, and even still….the party carried on! every single other vendor involved in this day was absolutely brilliant to work with. i always enjoy shooting weddings, but something about this one and the people working it — not to mention the awesome bride and groom — it was just a pure blast! and don’t even get me started on that dress and that BOLERO!!!…
