doug + joy’s engagement session!
whoa! summer is officially here and, ladies and gentlemen, it is HOT! i mean….really hot. despite this heat and all the sticky humidity that goes with it, a few particular people come out on the top of my list of champions for braving the heat and looking so cool while doing it: meet doug and joy (and the pup, kona — also a champ). i met doug and joy a few months back to discuss the possibility of shooting their wedding. i must have turned on the charm because they booked me even after i was more than half an hour late to meet them (apparently, i have a hard time with clocks).
anyway, i’m glad that they did because i seriously had a great time with them yesterday at percy warner park and down in the east nashville area shooting these photos. a little sweat, a little blood (doug had cut himself shaving for the shoot!) and instead of tears…hurricane-force wind and rain to finish off the day. take a look…
it’s been awhile since i got a really great jumping pick and i think this one is fantastic. so much red!! geez, i love east nashville.
so many fun pictures from the day — it was a difficult choice narrowing it down to these. probably easily could have doubled the number :) thanks again to doug, joy and sweet little kona for being awesome. can’t wait for the wedding at union station this fall! woo hoo!!
