when i started a photography business, i never banked on mother’s and father’s days being a great time for business. apparently it is!
and even better for me when they’re sweet little faces like these. the Sonkin boys, Ben and Scott were patient enough with me to allow me into their little worlds for about half an hour so i could get some shots for their dad for father’s day.
also (for all you techies out there) a grateful shout out to my new canon 50mm 1.4 for these shots. as much as i would have loved the L series 1.2, i’m not that rich just yet (and i stress the “yet”). but i’ve been so pleased by the portraits the 1.4 has allowed me to take. i mean, with a lens like that and a face like this, who wouldn’t be pleased?
