hallie’s bridal portraits
i have been dying to share these photos of hallie since i took them down on edisto island back in february. of course, i had to wait until after the wedding to post them and i’m so excited to finally do so. first, allow me to say a piece on bridal portraits. they are such a good way to spend time with a bride, get to know each other better, and to get her comfortable with me behind the camera. i can’t tell you how nice it is to have that pressure-free session to shoot and be relaxed without the time constraints. as we all know, things can get a little crazy on the actual wedding day. schedules often run way behind and usually the first thing to get squeezed down is the time allotted for photos of just the bride and the groom alone. this is a perfect way to make sure you get some beautiful, stress-free photos of yourself all gussied up, looking your best. AND it gives you an excuse to wear that beautiful dress twice :) i truly wish everyone would do a bridal session! not to mention the invaluable chance to trial run your hair and makeup to see how you like it. to all you future brides out there, do yourself a favor and consider the option. i can promise that you won’t regret it! check out why…
just love this girl! i could never possibly tire of shooting her — she is ridiculously photogenic. doesn’t she looks totally stunning in every single frame? i was apparent on the wedding day that hallie was relaxed and had total confidence in me and it was because of the time we spent together doing bridals. i earned her trust and had a foundation of experience to build on so that she didn’t have to worry about what it was going to be like when i arrived to start shooting. it just felt natural and really was so much fun.
