johnny + melissa!!
it’s always a delight to get to shoot the wedding of a friend (and former fellow starbucks work mate), and johnny bird’s wedding is no exception. he and melissa met years ago at college though they were never close friends. if i remember the story correctly she found him on facebook a few years ago (*correction — i’ve been informed that he was the one that found her!!) and they started talking, eventually started dating and are now married! i swear…the internet has become the instigator for more relationships than even i can believe. it’s crazy!
johnny and melissa had a beautiful ceremony in her late mother’s garden just outside indianapolis. it was one of the most beautiful and special places to have a wedding on the most perfect day in the entire month of june. check it out….
they rode a boat from the ceremony location to the reception which was at the yacht club. best get-away transportation!
johnny, i’m so thrilled for you to have found such an exceptionally beautiful woman. you’ve never looked so happy! and melissa, you have found a good man. i couldn’t be more joyful for the both of you and hope we can meet y’all again soon. congratulations and lots of blessings on your marriage — hooray!!!

Awww!
Thanks for sayin' all those nice things, Hannah!
Actually, I found Melissa on FB – saw her comments on somebody's post – looked at her page and thought, "Oh, yeah!!"
I never knew it was possible to experience love like this – I know that sounds like an Air Supply song or something, but it is true.
You and John were an awesome presence on our special day… what a delight to have you there!
Your work is spectacular – it's no task to take great pictures of my beautiful bride, but making me look presentable – now that takes some work!
Thanks!

It truly was the best day of my life. I loved that you and John were a part of it; and, what a huge part of it you were! The pictures are absolutely perfect. I look at them and it is as though I am instantly there again, marrying the man of my dreams.
I can't tell you how special it was to have someone who was personally vested in us take the photos. I remember you saying on more than one occasion while taking my pictures before the ceremony, "I can't wait for Johnny Bird to see you!" That will always stick with me.
The picture of the wedding gowns…I can't even begin to describe what it means to me to have that.
You and John are an absolute delight and are so generous in spirit. Oh, and John deserves a medal for surviving the boat ride. THAT picture is da bomb!
I love you guys and can't wait to get to Nashville to hang with you again!
Thanks,
Melissa
