the fisher fauxtaux booth!
this was definitely the fauxtaux booth’s wildest day yet. yucky rain storms put a halt on the original plans for location/backdrop for the booth which could have been a huge bummer. but darn if i’m gonna tote that beast all the way from nashville, tennessee to holland, michigan and not put it to good use! so we improvised — we moved the booth underneath an awning next to the wedding tent and ixnayed the backdrop, letting the natural setting (and ever changing stormy sky) set the stage. this brilliant idea worked for a little while….then the wind kicked up, knocked the whole shebang over (nearly squashing an innocent bystander) but somehow remained unscathed and in complete working order. that’s when we collectively decided to move the whole wedding inside (as mentioned in a previous post about christian and stephanie’s wedding).
NOTE: in the few outside pics we did get pre-hurricane, you can see a peek of the ever changing weather conditions in the background — gray to green to sunny and then back to dark and foreboding.
now to move it on inside without missing a beat…
it was eventful but turned out beautifully and, if i may say so, will go down in the books as one of the most memorable weddings for me — ever! what a blast….
i love the fishers!!
