wedding hair: accessories and veils

since the rain has been keeping me from all my shoots this weekend i thought now would be a great time to intro a new series of blogs i’m working on. each blog will feature some of my favorite details from my past weddings and this week is all about hair. up-do’s, down-do’s, fascinators, short veils, long veils, etc….great hair styles and accessories are one of my favorite ways a lady can accentuate her own unique personality. and my brides over the years have run the gamut of creativity. check out these photos…

this headband worn by laura was made by the lovely folks at Something New. they do phenomenal custom wedding headbands and hairpieces and you can find them here on etsy.

i always love peacock feathers! cari wore this fascinator by Sweet Grass Mill from etsy.

i love these tiara-inspired wedding headbands. puts a perfect amount sparkle into the look and sets off those down-do’s with some shine.

love the juxtaposition here of the birdcage veil next to the chapel length veil. they couldn’t be more different but both make their own dramatic statement and have such a classic, timeless feel.

most of the hair pieces featured here are from etsy though i only have details on a few, so brides feel free to ring in with any info you have. i’ll update the blog with specific designers and websites as i can track it down.

what’s your favorite wedding hair look?
