A renaissance Fabio horseback inspired engagement

this is by far one of my most favorite and fun photo shoots i’ve ever done! my dear old friend jonathan called me a few weeks ago and told me he was going to propose to his girlfriend elaina [the ever-talented gal behind the Beauty Sensei blog] and asked if i would be available to come capture the moment. as he went on to explain the elaborate plan, in typical jonathan fashion, things got progressively weirder (and, might i add, more awesome) with every detail: a white linen “fabio” suit, copious amounts of gold chains, a horse named jasper, and a princess bride-inspired red velvet renaissance dress. oh, and of course he and his dad built that cute white bridge specifically for this occasion. obviously elaina LOVED it because they really are soul mates, and she said yes! and let’s talk about that canary diamond engagement ring for minute…holy crap. let’s just get on with the pictures, you’re not gonna want to miss this.
