here’s a lady who knows what she wants and goes for it! sarah and i have been talking wedding stuff for months and months now in preparation for their june 2012 wedding. and monday was finally the day for engagement photos! what i didn’t know before about sarah and brian’s relationship was how they met. they were both coming out of one of their college classes on a rainy day and were walking down a steep hill when sarah slipped and literally fell right into brian’s arms. he invited her to breakfast and everything else is history. seriously?!?!? that’s better than a movie right there. here are the photos…. so…

the fisher fauxtaux booth!
this was definitely the fauxtaux booth’s wildest day yet. yucky rain storms put a halt on the original plans for location/backdrop for the booth which could have been a huge bummer. but darn if i’m gonna tote that beast all the way from nashville, tennessee to holland, michigan and not put it to good use! so we improvised — we moved the booth underneath an awning next to the wedding tent and ixnayed the backdrop, letting the natural setting (and ever changing stormy sky) set the stage. this brilliant idea worked for a little while….then the wind kicked up, knocked the whole shebang over (nearly squashing an innocent bystander) but…

meet my first niece!
i have a niece! you should meet her. she has one of those names that automatically makes you destined for greatness — arlington elizabeth blanton. i think it sounds like she will either be a famous women’s advocate author of some sort or perhaps marry into a royal family one day. or maybe a president of something. it’s a commanding name. she ought to have lots of things to be in charge of when she grows up. anyway, on to the photos… proudest grandma of all time. seriously. maybe proudest daddy of all time, too. and to here’s the woman who made it all happen — my how-in-the-world-do-you-look-so-darn-good-after-just-giving-birth sister-in-law, alison!…
