  • introducing mr. mark macminn

    this past sunday i participated in a photo shoot that included one of the more creative “looks” i’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing (modeled after his own guitar). mark macminn, an austin-based musician recently relocated to nashville, called me up about working with him on some promo shots. although dreadfully hotter than i anticipated, we had some beautiful sunlight to work with. here are a few of the photos we got. thanks mark–and lovely face-painting assistant, shannon–for the lovely sunday afternoon shoot. with our powers combined i believe we made the day a success! hannahelaine

  • baby chickens!

    i don’t eat eggs very often. so the other day when i went to crack what looked like an abnormally large and oblong egg i was quite thrilled/sickened/at a loss to find 2 perfectly formed yokes inside! twins!! twin baby chickens. my first thought was, “cooool!” my second….aw, i’m a terrible person because i’m about to eat this. but once i got past that feeling, went to crack yet another abnormally large egg and there were 2 yokes in that one too! i must have gotten the eggs of freak mutant chicken…here’s the first set (couldn’t help but snap a photo…). even though i ended up eating both sets of…
