if you were in chicago…what would you do?
going to the great windy city this week! got a few engagement photo sessions that i’m super stoked about, gonna see some old friends i haven’t seen in ages, and i also happen to have a little bit of down time that i’m hoping to fill with wonderful and exciting adventures. this is where you come in…. i had the exhilarating opportunity to visit this enchanting city for an extended weekend last july. as you can imagine, i barely scratched the surface of things to see and do. since my free time is limited on this trip as well, i need your experience and insight to help me decide the…

Franklin Road Academy fundraiser
emily borders–a sweet young lady i met on a sweet sleep trip last year–rang me up a few weeks back asking if i could photograph a havana nights-themed fundraising dinner/silent auction/live auction she was organizing for franklin road academy. heck yes, i said! i’ve got the winter slow-season blues and am sooo anxious for next week’s chicago trip to kick off the “shooting-photos-like-a-chicken-with-my-head-cut-off-season.” i even participated in the silent auction and WON!!! i never win at those things! i was pretty darn stoked. this is emily, hard at work during the live auction. and as if all of that was not enough, in addition to participating in that event, the…
