back and ready to attack!
so a few months ago my faithful little 30GB ibook finally kicked the bucket for good after nearly 5 faithful years of service. it was the first computer i ever had and it was wonderful. i had purchased a beautiful desktop that i used for most of my photo editing, but it was still great to be able to travel with a computer when i needed it. i knew the day was coming when i would need to buy a new laptop, especially with all the traveling i’m doing with weddings this year, but i was putting it off. but i happened across a deal that i could not pass…

brenda, derrick and double agents…
THIS is the wedding i have been looking forward to all year for so many reasons. 1) it was my first wedding of 2009, 2) it was on the BEACH in florida, and 3) because i was a surprise present to brenda, the bride, from derrick, the groom!!!! i did their engagement photos last fall, all the while conspiring with brenda to try and convince derrick that i should be the one to shoot the wedding instead of an old buddy of his. he feigned refusing, blaming it on money, all the while secretly communicating with me and booking me as a surprise! when i showed up to the rehearsal on friday…

mindy + matt – engagements!
CHICAGO: the engagement portrait chronicles, part three. the weathermen/women of chicago had me on my toes all week, constantly predicting freezing temperatures and rain, including the sunday i was scheduled to shoot with mindy and matt. thank God they’re terrible at their job. sunday, although a bit chilly with the wind, turned out to be gorgeous and sunny. i really got lucky all 3 days to have bearable weather with no rain, and even hints of sunshine here and there. mindy and matt have a great story! they met on match.com early last year and hit it off! 8 and a half months later matt popped the question. they’re getting…
