father’s day photos…(and my new lens)
when i started a photography business, i never banked on mother’s and father’s days being a great time for business. apparently it is! and even better for me when they’re sweet little faces like these. the Sonkin boys, Ben and Scott were patient enough with me to allow me into their little worlds for about half an hour so i could get some shots for their dad for father’s day. also (for all you techies out there) a grateful shout out to my new canon 50mm 1.4 for these shots. as much as i would have loved the L series 1.2, i’m not that rich just yet (and i stress…

Mother’s day shoot in time for Father’s day
stuart mcalister (who works for sweet sleep) came to me right before mother’s day and asked me to do some family photos for his wife d’ann for mother’s day. a few sick kids and few trips to moldova later, we finally got the chance to do them. we got some great ones! adorable kids, each with their own distinct and very animated personalities. i think dragon park was the perfect place to take them. so thanks to the mcalisters! i had a great time shooting with you all. hannahelaine

ben and nicole’s wedding
can i just say how much i love shooting weddings when the couple is so obviously in love? i shot ben and nicole’s wedding a few weekends ago and it was so much fun and such a breeze. when a couple is already glowing with joy for the life they’re about to start together, it just makes the photos automatically so much better. so thanks guys for being so much fun to work with, and for allowing me the privilege of sharing in your special day. you are both truly amazing people. hannahelaine
