just a few wedding inspirations….

i’m constantly blogging about everyone else’s wedding. with the winter being a bit slow for shooting and, now that i’m planning my own wedding, i thought i could share a few (perhaps slightly cryptic) blurbs about it.

i went to something like 27 weddings in 2009 so i have a slight advantage over most brides in that i get to see first hand how everyone else is doing things and then take the bits and pieces of what i like from each wedding and create my own cool ideas.

here’s some of those ideas….

the original plan was to have the reception in a barn or similar type rustic location. that just didn’t work out. so we’ve chosen a customs house from the 1800’s now-turned-museum. kind of opposite ends of the spectrum. but i’m using things like these lanterns to tie in the rustic theme of the ceremony which is taking place in front of this awesome tim burton-esque church:

these next two photos show some items i’ve acquired that will soon be turned into some unique accent items of decor for my wedding. can’t wait to show you the results!

those are just a few details……i’ll post more when i make more progress. now it’s time to work on sewing my dress (gulp!) !!!!
